The Montreal International Children’s Film Festival (better known under its French acronym, FIFEM) is an international film festival and a family version of the biggest international film event, like a Cannes, Berlin or Sundance for kids!
The FIFEM invites you to explore the best of international cinema through hundreds of films from over thirty countries! These films are amongst the finest children films, and most of them are unreleased works. They will offer you stories of children slowly making the transition into adulthood, through their imagination, their strength, their humor and their courage.
Plus, the event is not just films, it is also film education workshops and meetings with guests.
With its rich program of beautiful films the FIFEM use the cinema to stimulate kids’ curiosity, promote critical thinking and informed dialogue.
