Call for entries 2021

FIFEM is launching a call for entries on the occasion of its 24th edition.

Independent and competitive, FIFEM is an international film festival whose mission is to former film lovers of tomorrow, by offering them a range of the best world cinema for young people. The festival lives in a time of globalization and takes a stand, through its programming choices, for a harmonious future in cultural diversity. He uses cinema as a tool to stimulate the curiosity of young people, promote critical thinking and informed dialogue.

The 24th edition of FIFEM will be held during spring break, in march 2021, in a hybrid format, both online and in theaters. A solution proposed following the health crisis which offers new opportunities to extend the festival’s influence to new audiences and territories.

The festival therefore calls on directors, producers and distributors from all over the world to register their films, feature and short films, animations, fictions and documentaries, via the FIFEM online platform. FIFEM 2021 presents films made in 2020 in two different official competitions: feature films and short films. Other categories of programs will also be created such as retrospectives, panoramas, focus or even favorites.

The Official Selection will be chaired by the Professional Jury and the Child Jury who will award the following prizes:
– The Montreal Grand Prix (Professional Jury and Child Jury);
– The Special Jury Prize (Professional Jury);
– The Best Short Prize (Professional Jury and Child Jury);
and our spectators will award the Audience Prize !

The deadline to submit a film is December 15, 2020.
