L'hiver est rude au pays du roi Balthasar, surtout quand on a 8 ans, qu'on est un ourson, adopté, en mal d'identité, et qu'on s'appelle Léon.  D'aventure en aventure, soutenu par ses amis Hérisson et Annibal l'Éléphant, il affrontera l'ogre et délivrera Mélie Pain d'Épice en passe de finir ses jours dans un ragoût de princesse aux petits pois.  Son courage le ramènera auprès de ses parents apiculteurs.

Winter is rough in Balthasar's country, especially for a little eight year-old adopted bear called Leon.  Throughout his adventures, with his friends Hedgehog and Annibal the Elephant, he'll fight the ogre and free Melie Gingerbread, who nearly ends her life in a Princess stew with peas.  His great courage will bring Leon back to his bee-keeping parents.

When spring finally conquers winter, it's Carnival time in Balthasar's country.  But spring festivities have barely begun when the kingdom is threatened by a terrible epidemic.  This is the incredible second part of the four-part series, which follows L'Hiver de Léon.

Sa curiosité l'amène à embarquer sur un paquebot pour un voyage mouvementé vers les premières terres australes.  Avec l'aide d'Emma, l'audacieuse petite fille du capitaine, et Kalapo, un oiseau aussi froussard que bavard, Jasper parvient à déjouer le plan diabolique du Docteur Block.

Not so very long ago, Jasper lived at the South Pole with his family, as is normal for penguins.  But one day it happened : in his unbounded curiosity, Jasper had dared to go too far to the edge of the breaking ice cap.  Suddenly there was a loud cracking noise from behind him and before he knew it, he was sitting on an ice floe, which, propelled by the current, pulled him ever further towards the horizon... until he drifted into the harbour of the town.  He looked for a cool and damp place to sleep and finally found just such a spot next to an old refrigerator, which stood in a forgotten corner at the very back of a junk shop.  Since everything was so new and exciting, Jasper decided to stay for a while.  However, so that his family would not be worried about him, he sent them regular reports of his experiences and observations in his "new" world.  And what could be a better way of doing that, than sending a message in a bottle...
